HISTORY

Cappelletto was founded in 1976 in Treviso by Antonio Cappelletto, whose passion for and ability in woodwork has translated into the quality of the brand today. Initially, Italy was Cappelletto’s main market; later they successfully entered the European market with sales in Germany. Demand for Cappelletto products kept increasing and in 1982, the Company moved to larger premises in Castelfranco Veneto. In the 90s, their brand was starting to become recognised in the US and this has now developed into an important export market for the company's products. Premium Art Brands have recently been appointed as the Cappelletto distributor for the UK market.

Through the years Cappelletto has developed it's reputation for providing the highest quality Easels for artisits and expanded it range, so that it now also includes: paint boxes, palettes, sculpture trestles and displays.

In developing their range Cappelletto are continuing their long tradition of listening to their clients and understanding their needs and then translating those requirements into finished products.

Cappelletto is a world-leader in the manufacturing of streamlined products for use in the fine art industry. All their products are patented and certified. If you visit their production facility in Castelfranco you will see that traditional production methods coexist with modern innovative technology. Many of their craftspeople have over 30 years experience and this allied with their ethos of only using the very best raw materials, means they can continually produce first class products that are not only functional, but are a work of art in themselves.

MATERIALS

Most of their products use locally sourced beechwood that is naturally seasoned to ensure it stability and natural beauty are maintained. The wood comes from environmentally safe-guarded areas, where new trees are planted to maintain the ecological balance in the region.
